Meet The Band

Doug Brand : Lead guitarist and vocals

He began playing guitar and singing at age 15.  Doug says that music is his therapy and loves to share his love for music through playing for and with others.  He is happily married (since 1997), loves spending time with family and friends (especially his 2 grandkids) and lives in Wood Ranch, CA.  He makes his living as a successful business owner/partner, which allows him to make his music for the sheer joy of it.

Tom Pagán: Rhythm guitarist and vocals

He took violin lessons in the 4th grade but when The Beatles came on the scene, he would turn his violin into a makeshift guitar.  When his mother saw this, she bought him one and the rest is history.  Music from the 60s and 70s is where his heart is and he wants to keep it alive for today’s young and old alike.  Tom lives in Thousand Oaks, CA with his daughter.

Ed Pacheco: Percussion, Vocals, Harmonica

Ed brings additional flavor in percussion such as congas, bongos and various rhythm instruments. Ed also sings lead and back up vocals, offering incredible harmonies with the lead singers. Married for thirty three years to his beautiful wife, they reside in the city of Northridge, CA in the San Fernando Valley.  Being a member of a band has always been his passion and with these talented musicians, Ed is excited to bring their music to the crowds.

Troy Stevenson: Bass

He began playing at age 13.  He attended the Berklee College of Music, Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, and has a college degree from Long Beach State.  Troy has been performing in bands and in the Los Angeles club circuit for 30 years.  Troy’s influences are Stanley Clarke, Victor Wooten and Chris Squire, whose bass lines have inspired him to master his bass in that rich tradition.  When he’s not playing his bass, Troy is a history teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District.  Troy has been happily married since 2006 and resides in Simi Valley, CA.

Rob Ekman: Drums

Rob was born and raised in the east side of Los Angeles and began playing drums at the early age of 8 years old when he got his first beginner drum set. He always had a love of music as a child, which was instilled in him by his father who played trumpet in a jazz band and they would routinely listen to big bands together. He knew he wanted to be a drummer after hearing the Beatles on his AM radio.

During his drumming career he has played in many different bands with gigs throughout California and, in doing so, has gained experience playing various genres of music. These include pop, top 40, funk, soul, soft rock, hard rock, country, disco, Christian worship, and blues to name a few.

Some of his influences are Hal Blaine, Mitch Mitchell, Ginger Baker, Philly Joe Jones, Billy Cobham, Art Blakey, Neil Peart, Peter Erskine, and John Bonham. He has been happily married since 1984 and has 2 children.
